প্রারম্ভিকা:
প্রতিটি জাতিরই অনেক ইতিবাচক যুদ্ধ সম্পর্কিত স্মৃতিচিহ্ণ থাকে, যা অতীতের অনেক বিষয়ের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা সম্পর্কে বর্তমানের করণীয় কী তা নির্ধারণ করতে সাহায্য করে। মুসলিমদের জন্য বদর যুদ্ধ ছিল তেমনই একটি বিশেষ ঘটনা যাতে মুসলমানরা কুরাইশ মোশরেকদের কর্তৃক নিজেদের মক্কার আবাসভূমি থেকে বিতাড়িত হয়ে অর্থনৈতিক, শাররিক ও সামাজিক নির্যাতনের পর কুরাইশদের সুসংগঠিত শক্তিশালী নিয়মিত একটি বাহিনীর বিরুদ্ধে নানা ঘাত -প্রতিঘাত ও শংকার মধ্য দিয়ে বিজয় লাভ করেছিল। বদর যুদ্ধের কিছু বিবরণ নিম্নরুপ:
বদরের যুদ্ধ
এটি রমাদান মাসে সংগঠিত হয়:
The Battle of Badr took place on the 17th of Ramadan; two years later than the Prophet Muhammad migrated to Madinah.
Badr is to be found 70 miles from Madinah
It is approximately 70 miles from Madinah and approximately 100 miles by highway. It takes more than 1hr and 45 mins to arrive at Badr by automobile. In the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ it would have taken a lot longer to arrive at there.
It is mentioned in the holy Qur’an
The Battle of Badr is alluded to in more than a few verses in the holy Qur’an, in Surah Aal-‘Imran:
Muslims were outnumbered by a percentage of 1:3. The Muslim military numbered approximately 313 who were poorly-equipped and the Quraysh had more than 950 well-resourced. well-known companions such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali, Hamza, Mus`ab ibn `Umair, Az-Zubair bin Al-‘Awwam, Ammar ibn Yasir, and Abu Dharr al-Ghifari took part (may Allah be pleased with them all).
‘Uthman was not capable to take part as he was instructed by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to get care of his ill wife Ruqayyah (RA) who was also the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Ibn ‘Umar narrates: “‘Uthman did not join the Badr battle because he was married to one of the daughters of Allah’s messenger and she was ill. So, the Prophet said to him. “You will get a reward and a share (from the war booty) similar to the reward and the share of one who has taken part in the Badr battle.” Sahih al-Bukhari
Angels assisted the Muslims in battle
5,000 angels helped the Muslims attain success over the Quraysh who were enhanced prepared in terms of arms, camels and war-horses. Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:
১২৩) এর আগে তোমরা অনেক দুর্বল ছিলে৷ কাজেই আল্লাহর না –শোকরী করা থেকে তোমাদের দূরে থাকা উচিত, আশা করা যায় এবার তোমরা শোকর গুজার হবে ৷
১২৪) স্মরণ করো যখন তুমি মুমিনদের বলছিলেঃ আল্লাহ তাঁর তিন হাজার ফেরেশতা নামিয়ে দিয়ে তোমাদের সাহায্য করবেন, এটা কি তোমাদের জন্য যথেষ্ট নয়? (সূরা আলে ইমরান, ৩:১২৪)
১২৫) অবশ্যি, যদি তোমরা সবর করো এবং আল্লাহকে ভয় করে কাজ করতে থাকো, তাহলে যে মুহূর্তে দুশমন তোমাদের ওপর চড়াও হবে ঠিক তখনি তোমাদের রব (তিন হাজার নয়) পাচঁ হাজার চিহ্নযুক্ত ফেরেশতা দিয়ে তোমাদের সাহায্য করবেন ৷ (সূরা আলে ইমরান, ৩:১২৫)
১২৬) একথা আল্লাহ তোমাদের এ জন্য জানিয়ে দিলেন যে, তোমরা এতে খুশী হবে এবং তোমাদের মন আশ্বস্ত হবে ৷ বিজয় ও সাহায্য সবকিছুই আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে আসে ৷ তিনি প্রবল পরাক্রান্ত ও মহাজ্ঞানী ৷ (সূরা আলে ইমরান, ৩:১২৬)
১২৭) ( আর এ সাহায্য তিনি তোমাদের এ জন্য দেবেন) যাতে কুফরীর পথ অবলম্বনকারীদের একটি বাহু কেটে দেবার অথবা তাদের এমন লাঞ্জনাপূর্ণ পরাজয় দান করার ফলে তারা নিরাশ হয়ে পশ্চাদপসরণ করবে৷ (সূরা আলে ইমরান, ৩:১২৭)
